- Applicants who do not fulfil one of the following criterion must pass the Test of English as a Foreign Language: Native language is English English-language qualification for admission to higher education Bachelor's degree from a programme in which the language of instruction was English Attended a German school and passed the "Abitur", which is the secondary school examination One of the following language tests have to be passed if the previous criteria are not fulfilled: TOEFL: at least 213 points (CBT) or 79 points (iBT) or 550 points (PBT) Academic IELTS: 6.0 Cambridge FCE TOEIC (700) Note: The validity of some tests can expire.
